OUTWORKS Update — Late-Game Performance This update focuses on performance during later waves, when large numbers of turrets, enemies, and combat effects are active. Combat rules and progression remain unchanged, while rendering, CPU, and audio overhead have been reduced during large-scale battles. Performance Improvements Batched contact shadows and combat particles to reduce rendering overhead in scenes with many enemies and structures. Optimized turret aiming and target searches to avoid unnecessary work as fortress size grows. Target-selection rules at the moment of firing remain unchanged. Improved object reuse for bullets and effects, reducing temporary allocations and garbage-collection pressure during intense combat.
