Please give the updated Steam Branch a try and pass on any feedback that you might have. Thank you for continuing to report issues and share your feedback with us; it helps us keep improving the game.To join the Preview Branch, right-click on Across the Obelisk, find Properties, Game Versions & Betas, and select “patch-preview”. Steam will download the update to the game, and then you can play on 1.7.7.1! To go back to the release version of the game, just follow the same steps but enable “Default Public Version” at the top of the list of Game Versions & Betas.
